The Conference
is being held on the campus of the University of Massachusetts at
Amherst, located in Amherst, Massachusetts, Hampshire County, USA.
The town of Amherst is located in the picturesque Connecticut River
Valley at the foothills of the beautiful Berkshire Mountains in western
Massachusetts. Amherst and the surrounding area are served by both
fine and casual dining establishments as well as by both local inns
and international lodging chains. The University campus and surrounding
area are serviced by regularly scheduled buses from New York City,
Boston, Hartford, and Springfield. Amtrak offers service directly
to Amherst from Washington, Philadelphia, New York, Vermont, and Canada.
Amherst is a 45-minute drive from Bradley International Airport, which
serves the Hartford/Springfield metropolitan area. Bradley International
is a hub for many domestic carriers and offers connecting flights
to international carriers. Local companies provide regularly scheduled
or door-to-door airport shuttle service.
